On March 24th, Centaur Theatre looks forward to welcoming members of the business and arts communities at the 2010 edition of our annual Dinner With Friends event. The evening has been carefully crafted as a luxurious night on the town, with the best of food and live performance that Old Montreal has to offer.

At 6:00 pm, guests will enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the exquisite Restaurant Bonaparte, showcasing the best of French cuisine fashioned from local ingredients. They will then proceed to Centaur Theatre next door for an 8:00 pm showing of William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, a co-production with Ottawa’s National Arts Centre. This production of Shakespeare’s most popular comedy showcases a first-rate local cast of fourteen, in a modern interpretation of the script set in Montreal during the summer festival season. In her review of this play, Pat Donnelly of The Montreal Gazette says, “Bravo! The cast is amazingly, deliciously good … the end seems to arrive too soon!”

After the show, a lavish spread of Restaurant Bonaparte’s desserts will be offered in Centaur’s Seagram gallery, where guests will have the exclusive opportunity to mingle with the cast of The Comedy of Errors.

Centaur Theatre invites supporters to join us for a beautiful evening in the Old Port! Tickets are $175 or $1,500 for a table of 10. Tax receipts will be issued for the eligible portion of the ticket price.
