Alison Boston
Alison is a multi-disciplinary artist. Her principal artistic work is her life, with forays into inter-disciplinary performance art, poetry, theater, video, radio, textile art, digital art and writing. During the 1980's she was based in Ottawa, Ontario where she was an active member of Galleries 101 and SAW, frequently presenting as a performance poet and artist, often participating in Paul Coulliard's Performance Cabarets.
Since leaving Ottawa in 1989, she has presented in all manner of places from swimming pools and shopping plazas, to art galleries and theaters.
She is a graduate of the University of Ottawa, department of theater.
She defines inter-disciplinary as artistic work that draws on more than one artistic discipline as defined by boundaries established by academics and/or granting agencies.
She currently resides in Budapest, Hungary where she makes textile and digital art, writes poetry stream of conscious in response to live music, maintains a web slog about her cultural life in Budapest and gives the occassional performance.
