Statement:

Project 165, founded in 2008 as HQ for the social art arena Methinks, is a creative hub comprised of affordable artist work studios, a little library and a storefront exhibition site in Toronto's Kensington Market.

Our mission is to build community; support emerging and early-career cultural producers; and challenge the ways in which culture is produced, perceived, supported and consumed.

To these ends, we produce and support a broad range of projects that encourage sociability, teamwork, critical analysis, risk-taking and transdisciplinary experimentation.

Our programming includes, but is not limited to, exhibitions, installations, performances, discussions, workshops, immersive fictions, thinktanks, video screenings, parties and potlucks.

Our hours of operation are Tuesday - Saturday, noon - 4pm. Sometimes we're open on Sundays and after dark throughout the week.

Project 165 is always open to working with individuals and groups who share our direction.
