Why become a member?

Popstart is an online project devoted to fostering the growth of the pan-Canadian interdisciplinary arts community by connecting interdisciplinary artists, arts organizations, events, festivals and associations from across Canada. Popstart is a database, a research tool, a promotional device, a bulletin board, and a discussion group.

Popstart members – professionals practicing or presenting in the interdisciplinary arts – come from a wide variety of artistic backgrounds including literature, dance, music, theatre, spoken word, visual art, film, video, media art, community art, and performance art.

Becoming a member means being affiliated with Canada’s only online interdisciplinary arts resource and unifying network for the interdisciplinary arts. On Popstart, you can create – and update – your own personalized profile page, post calls for submissions, announcements for events or workshops and job opportunities. You can also initiate and participate in online discussions on topics of interest to the inter-arts community.

Popstart is an opportunity to promote your work, to share resources, exchange ideas and contribute to the development of the practice and awareness of interdisciplinary arts from Coast to Coast.
